GreenFriends
GreenFriends is an international movement that promotes respect for nature, encouraging us to awaken in ourselves an awareness of the unity between nature and humanity. In particular, it is involved in the United Nations ‘Billion Tree Campaign’ and has planted over a million trees worldwide since 2001.
In the UK, we meet up for tree planting and tree maintenance, growing organic vegetables, upcycling, seedball making, compost making, wildlife preservation, heritage seed saving and more. We offer beginners ‘Get Growing’ courses and run an annual seed swap, where we encourage people to save seeds from vegetables and flowers they have grown, including encouraging people to save rare heritage seeds to preserve their lifeline for future generations. We also offer many gardening opportunities at the MA Centre’s Shanti Garden.

Life reaches its plenitude when humanity and nature work together, hand in hand, in harmony. When people live in harmony with the laws of nature, life becomes a beautiful song.
